Low-density polyethylene bags are a type of primary packaging material. Ldpe for short is a type of thermoplastic made from the monomer ethylene. LDPE bags are more flexible than other bags because they have excessive branching with very low density, the LDPE polymers have the minimum compact molecular structure. They have meager tensile strength.
LDPE bags are mostly made from chemical-free material. They resist moisture does not react to chemicals & oxygen thus a very safe to use. They must be packed well in air-tight protective packaging. They are popular because they are tough and can handle a lot of wear and tear.

1. Description
it is a type of food-grade low-density polyethylene bag. It is mainly two types of colors transparent and black and the how many side sealing.
2. Dimension
Length: measure the length with the help of a calibrated measuring scale
Width: measure the width with the help of a calibrated measuring scale
3. LDPE Bags Identification test by FTIR
this test is performed with the help of the FTIR Instrument. Calibrated FTIR instruments take standard samples of LDPE. Then sample specimen plotted the graph wavelength number 3800-650cm-1. Sample graph compared with standard correlation results are meets with limit. Then identified samples are made from LDPE monomer.
The corrected spectrum of the specimen exhibits major absorption bands only at the same wavelength as the spectrum of the low-density polyethylene reference standard.
4. Leak test
Take the sample of LDPE bags, hold the open side of the LDPE bags, and pour water in the LDPE bag with the help of the help of a mug/ measuring cylinder. Keep the LDPE bag above a suitable filter paper on the surface of the table/plate form. Observe the filter paper for wetness.
Then the LDPE bag leakage test is passed.
5. Grammage of LDPE Polybag
Take a sample of LDPE bags. It cut different positions to different Samples 10 x10 cm or 5 x 5 cm with the help of a GSM plate. Take sample weight at calibrated analytical balance. The given formula calculates it.
Grammage = Weigh the sample in grams x 100 or 400 (if the sample cut 10 x 10 cm or 5 x 5 cm)
