Regent
Copper sulphate solution mixed as follows
- Copper sulphate (Cuso4. 5H2O) 198.2 g
- Hydrochloric acid Conc. 51 ml
- Distilled water 1 litre
Procedure
- Selected five samples at random from the sample lot
- Take a sample tube and pour copper sulphate solution with ¼ of the open-end
- Place the tube aside for 1 minute
- After the time has elapsed, drain copper sulphate from the tube.
- Cut the tube from the shoulder
- Flatten the tube well
- Check the tube surface for the presence of black spots
- Black spot will present the exposed aluminium surface
- There shall not be the presence of black spots
