A selected sample of the combination of layer ACLAR laminated with PVC Foil cut 10 x 10 cm2 or 5 x 5 cm2 (as applicable) with the help of a GSM plate, then weighed an analytical balance.
Total Grammage = weight in gram x 100 or 400 (if the sample cut 10x 10 cm or 5 x 5 cm)
Take a sample of the total Grammage and dip the sample completely in a beaker containing ethyl acetate. After 10-15 min both layers are separated ACLAR and PVC. Dry the ACLAR sample in a hot air oven at 1100c for 2 min. cooled sample in a desiccator then take weight at analytical balance.
Grammage of ACLAR = Weight in gram x 100 or 400 (if the sample cut 10x 10 cm or 5 x 5 cm)
Grammage of PVC = Total Grammage – Grammage of ACLAR
